In this course you will learn more Riso techniques such as CMYK printing, raster adjustments and color mixing. The course consists of 4 lessons, each of 3 hours, from 10:30 to 1:30. In the first two lessons we will work with a two-color print, where you will make a number of prints of your own illustration. The last two lessons we work with 3 to 4 colors, where we also discuss how you can print a photo with the riso printer as accurately as possible. This course is technical & but also free, playful and experimental. In this course you will learn: • Creating an illustration with the riso print technique in mind • Digitally separating colors so that it is suitable for riso printing • How to send a PDF to the riso printer and how to set it up in multiple ways • Mixing different riso inks (you can choose from 8 colors!) and experimenting with the results What do you need? • A laptop or tablet with Procreate, Photoshop or Affinity (basic knowledge is enough) • A little bit of basic knowledge about riso printing • Enough creativity and need to experiment with riso printing! So from setting up your design to printing your final work, this course offers more knowledge about the possibilities of the riso printer. At the end of the course you will receive all the experiments you have done during the lessons, but also a beautiful final edition of 30 official prints on 250 g/r biotop paper, which we will number and sign. You will receive a total of: • 30 numbered riso prints on 250 g/r biotop paper • 10 riso masters per lesson to experiment with • 20 90 g/r biotop paper sheets per lesson to experiment with • A riso zine with explanations to look back on and all color swatches for the riso printer • A lot of useful riso knowledge & guidance This workshop will take place on April 5, 12, 19 and 27 from 10:30 to 13:30 (can't make one of these dates? Mail me! A little bit of shifting/catching up on a lesson is often still possible) Register now and learn how to make riso prints even better :)
